Craft soap!

Excuse the bad picture quality but I wanted to get some artsy bit up right quick.
So before Christmas I went to a Chrintrest party (Christmas+Pintrest hehe.) We made soaps, but with our own touch. My friend Megan had this lovely book full of beautiful ladies from the 20's so I snatched that and cut a few of my favorite images out. We used glycerin as the soap base which you can get online or at an arts and craft store. We melted it down and added yummy fragrances, my favorite was the lemon one! Once you pour the fragrance filled liquid glycerin into a mold (we use small square bowls) you can then add whatever you want! Some people used glitter, small objects like beads, etc. or paper like I did. You spray the top with rubbing alcohol (takes out bubbles) once you have added in all your goodies and then set in the freezer. Your soap will be ready when it is hard obviously and you will end up with something like this! This is a pretty inexpensive and fun craft. It is very easy to make something that is uniquely your own! This wasn't meant to be a tutorial but an idea of something that you can do! Comment me if you would like more info on this craft!

Startup post!

I'm starting a blog! Wooh!!

I'm mostly doing this because I'm bored and need to keep things I want to do, things I like, favorite images etc. organized. I don't have a particular goal for this blog but I plan to add art I complete here, crafts I make with friends, and just anything else I think is nifty (including but not limited to discussion and/or art on video games, fandoms, and quite possibly a lot of cats.)

Introductions are in order

My name is Kayla. I'm a senior that is about to graduate with a bachelor's in Interior Design, an Art minor, and an Entrepreneurship minor. I love art and design; generally just being creative. I dabble a bit in photography. I hope you enjoy this blog, let's see where it goes!
